This is the development we feel will destroy one of our last green spaces and choke the Rising Sun Country Park by cutting off the wildlife corridor which feeds the Country Park from the direction of Backworth. This will, in time, destroy the Country Park itself for all migrant land-based animals.
The public exhibition will be at the Rising Sun Country Park Centre (how ironic!!) on Wednesday 15th December between 10am and 4pm and also on Friday 17th December between 9am and 3pm.
We have already expressed our concerns over the short notice and the fact that these events are in normal working hours so will prevent many people from attending. We have stated our belief that the advertising of Core Strategy Consultation Events by North Tyneside Council was ineffective and hope that Northumberland Estates will be far more effective
If you can get along to one of these events to show your opposition, please do try to do so – they MUST be told of residents’ opposition in strong terms
