Core Strategy Petition

Monday, August 16th, 2010
By H.A.G

Following the public meeting on Sunday 15th August, attended by over 250 concerned residents, we seek to raise at least 2000 signatures to raise our objections to the "Core Strategy Preferred Options" and to have the matter fully discussed at a future North Tyneside Council meeting.

Holystone Action Group Public meeting In doing so, we seek to raise our objections to the proposals for Key Housing sites and the areas of search for Waste Management sites and to the area of search for a Gypsy/Travellers site being concentrated on the A19 corridor, all of which will have a detrimental effect on the environment and infrastructure in Shiremoor,Northumberland Park, Holyfields, West Allotment, Holystone, Palmersville, Forest Gate, Hadrian Park, Battle Hill, Hadrian Lodge and the Station Road area of Wallsend.

If you are able to collect signatures as part of this effort, please download the petition and email hagsaysno@fsmail.net to confirm which areas you can cover and also to confirm when completed petition sheets can be collected.

The only action necessary for these Planning Applications and the core strategy to happen, is no action at all...
